Sinjai Regency Government Launches "DAHSAT" To Reduce Stunted Fares

The government of Sinjai Regency continues to make several efforts and achievements to overcome the stunting rate. Friday (26.8.2022). Recently, the government of Sinjai Regency through the Office of Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) launched an innovation called Healthy Kitchen Overcome Stunting (DAHSAT). 

This innovation was launched by Sinjai Regent Andi Seto Asapa (ASA) represented by DP3AP2KB Head Sinjai A. Tenri Rawe Baso and attended by representatives of BKKBN in South Sulawesi Province located at Pulau Larea-rea, Pulau Unity Village, Pulau Sembilan District, Thursday (2/25) . 8/2022). 

In his remarks, Andi Tenri said that this activity is the Regency Government's commitment to support the population and family planning program, especially to reduce the rate of stunting through the use of local food through the DAHSAT program. Through this DASHAT, the quality of nutrition in the community is expected to improve to accelerate efforts to reduce stunting through the barangay convergence approach in family planning at the kelurahan/barangay level. 

“We really hope that with the launch of DAHSAT in quality barangays today, it will not end in Pulau Sembilan sub-district, but it can be established in all sub-districts and 13 KB barangays in Sinjai,” he hoped. Andi Tenri added that Pulau Sembilan sub-district was chosen as the place to start the DASHT program because the sub-district in this coastal area is the highest sub-district for stunting cases in Sinjai. 

Meanwhile, South Sulawesi BKKBN Representative Training and Development Coordinator Ahmad Harun said the DAHSAT program aims to provide balanced nutrition to families at risk of stunting. The Dashat program is also integrated with the Quality Family Village (Kampung KB) program. 

According to him, this program has two basic things to consider, which is to use local wisdom through local natural resources and to encourage mothers to farm their own local food and provide nutritious food. "In Sinjai, we are familiar with the potential of fisheries, which are known for processed fish food, which can become local foods that can be properly processed to become nutritious food," he explained. 

The launch was attended by Pulau Sembilan District Director Baharuddin, tripika elements, Pulau Unity Village Head H. Ibrahim, Pulau Sembilan Health Center Head Agus Salim and Pulau Sembilan District PKK cadres.
